The Dogon residential school was founded 2008 in the south east of Mali, in the county seat Bandiagara. It accommodates children and young people from the Dogon country who are not able to visit a higher secondary school due to the remote location of their mountain villages. Currently 30 pupils live, sleep and eat in the residential school. They receive homework support, computer and health courses, academic support and attend the state grammar school in Bandiagara which is located in the neighborhood . The pupils are catered by two cooks and are supervised by the head of the residential school.
